About This Program

A nine-week residential summer research experience in microfabrication and nanotechnologies, with tentative 2026 dates of 26 May to 1 August, run jointly by Columbia University and the CUNY Advanced Science Research Center and funded by the NSF Engineering Education and Centers Division. Participants join faculty projects and take part in sessions on current topics in nanoscience and engineering. Applications are made through Columbia's admissions portal selecting NANO-NY REU Site as the preferred research area; the site directs applicants to the Columbia MRSEC REU page for eligibility detail and does not publish a stipend figure.
