University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
America's first merit scholarship programme, established at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and open to students across every field including the sciences and engineering. Candidates are nominated by their school or partner programme, or can enter through the admissions referral route, and apply through the foundation's own portal at apply.moreheadcain.org; separate eligibility rules apply to North Carolina residents, out-of-state US applicants, Canadian applicants, UK applicants and other international applicants. A distinct application route exists for UNC sophomores. The programme is actively recruiting, with the Class of 2029 already enrolled.
