A Montana University System scholarship created to encourage Montana high school students to prepare for, enter and complete postsecondary degrees in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and healthcare, with the explicit goal of increasing STEM and healthcare degree holders in Montana's workforce. The award escalates over four years: $1,000 in the first year, $1,500 in the second, $1,500 in the third and $2,000 in the fourth, for students who continue to meet the requirements. Applicants must be Montana residents with a high school GPA of at least 3.25, must have completed four years of college-preparatory mathematics and three years of college-preparatory science, must be accepted to a qualifying Montana University System campus, must enrol the first fall semester immediately following high school graduation, and must enrol full-time at 12 or more credits. Funding is not guaranteed and meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection.
