The nationwide distance-mentoring section of MIT PRIMES, open free of charge to high school juniors and sophomores anywhere in the United States outside the Greater Boston area. Participants meet weekly online with an MIT mentor to work on unsolved problems in mathematics across a full academic year. Admission is highly selective and based on demonstrated problem-solving ability and depth of understanding rather than coursework alone.
