About This Program

A paid summer research placement at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, a federally funded research and development centre. Students must have completed at least their sophomore year of college or be enrolled in a master's or doctoral programme, hold an excellent academic record, and be a US citizen. The programme runs mid-May through mid-August and pays competitive weekly wages, with travel assistance and discounted housing for eligible non-local interns. Project areas span defence technology, communications systems, aerospace, cybersecurity, microelectronics and software. No fixed application deadline is published — postings appear on the Laboratory's careers portal, so it is worth checking from autumn onward.
