A Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development grant aimed at adults returning to education, covering certificates, degrees and industry-recognised credentials in occupations the state designates as high need. High-need occupations are identified from Missouri Economic Research and Information Center projections on job growth, openings and wages, and a programme qualifies only if it links to an occupation graded A or B at the state or regional level. Unusually for a state grant, Fast Track covers not just credit-bearing programmes but also non-credit workforce training and registered apprenticeships, and it is available through approved postsecondary institutions, eligible training providers and apprenticeship sponsors. The department publishes a searchable list of eligible institutions and their approved programmes. Students apply electronically through the Missouri State Financial Aid Portal.
