Colombia's national high-level research training scholarship, run by the Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnologia e Innovacion (Minciencias) and launched in March 2026 as Convocatoria 975. It funds three modalities: national master's degrees, national doctorates, and doctoral study abroad at universities in the Shanghai Rankings top 500. Applicants must be Colombian professionals in their first semester, already admitted, or in an admissions process for studies starting 2026-2 or later, in programmes with current Ministry of Education accreditation. Proposals must align with one of five mission-oriented research and innovation policies: bioeconomy and territory, the right to food, energy transition, health sovereignty, and science for peace. The programme prioritises women, Afro-descendant and indigenous communities, and socioeconomic strata 1 to 3.
