A limited number of awards from the Microbiology Society enabling undergraduates to work on a microbiological research project during the summer vacation, supporting six to eight week projects taken before the final year of study. The award covers a student stipend plus specified research consumable costs, and applications are made by a Society member acting as supervisor.
