A Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential award of up to $2,000 per year for up to two years toward an industry-recognised certificate from an eligible career training provider, aimed at high-demand skilled trades and technical occupations. Applicants must have been Michigan residents for at least the immediately preceding year, must have graduated high school with a diploma or certificate of completion or achieved a high school equivalency certificate in 2023 or later, must not yet have earned an associate or bachelor's degree or a credential funded by this scholarship, and must enrol within 15 months of high school graduation. Students first select an eligible career training provider, then complete the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship application in the MiSSG Student Portal and enrol in the approved programme. Students choosing a degree path at an eligible Michigan college or university may instead qualify for the separate Michigan Achievement Scholarship.
