Memorial's internal NSERC USRA competition, administered by the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, for undergraduates who want a 16-week (35 hours per week) research or development work term in the natural sciences and engineering under a faculty supervisor. The 2026-2027 competition has internal deadlines for summer, fall and winter terms; the October 25, 2026 deadline is for Winter (January-April) 2027 awards. Applications are completed on the NSERC web application and a copy is sent to the Engineering Research Office.
