About This Program

A state maritime academy on the Cape Cod Canal in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, offering undergraduate degrees in fields including marine engineering, marine transportation, energy systems engineering, and marine science, safety and environmental protection. Cadets combine classroom and laboratory work with sea terms aboard the academy training ship, and licence-track majors graduate eligible for a US Coast Guard officer licence; participation in the Regiment of Cadets is part of the experience. Admission is rolling for both fall and spring terms, with an Early Action deadline of 1 November and decisions released by 22 November, an international deadline of 15 March and regular decision by 15 April. The academy advises submitting the FAFSA by 1 March to maximise financial aid and scholarships.
