About This Program

An NSF-funded summer research program placing undergraduates in mentored projects on Chesapeake Bay estuarine science at University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science laboratories. Students work on questions in marine and estuarine ecology, biogeochemistry, fisheries, and environmental policy, and present their findings at an end-of-summer symposium. Participants receive a stipend, housing, and travel support.
