Official Website maa.org

About This Program

An NSF-supported programme from the Mathematical Association of America that funds mathematical sciences faculty to run summer research experiences for undergraduates who have completed their sophomore year. Each site award is up to $35,000 including indirect costs and must support at least four students, with student stipends of at least $4,500 each, up to $2,000 per student for room and board, and funding to travel and present their work. Students do not apply to the MAA directly: they take part through a faculty member at their institution who wins an NREUP grant, or by contacting the director of a nearby funded site. The programme has run since 2003.
