About This Program

Canada's largest undergraduate award by total value, combining a $12,000 annual stipend with a full tuition waiver at partner universities and up to $14,000 for a Summer Experiential Learning Program, alongside mentorship and a national scholar community. Selection is built around character, service and leadership rather than grades alone, though there is an academic floor. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents entering university for the first time in September 2027, born between 1 January 2005 and 1 September 2011, with a cumulative average of at least 88 percent for high school students or an R score of 29 or higher for CEGEP students. Beyond the main award, up to 70 Provincial and Territorial Award recipients receive a $3,000 one-time entrance award, and 90 finalists are invited to national interviews. Applications for the 2027 award are open.
