University of Toronto
The University of Toronto's flagship award for international undergraduates, covering tuition, books, incidental fees and full residence support for four years - a complete cost-of-attendance package rather than a tuition discount, and applicable to U of T's engineering, computer science and life sciences programmes among others. Roughly 37 scholars are selected each year from a pool drawn across 188 countries, and the university distributes over $12 million annually through the programme. Applicants must be international students requiring a study permit, must be in their final year of secondary school in 2026/27 or have graduated after June 2026, and must begin studies at U of T in September 2027; students already in post-secondary education are ineligible. The path runs through three stages: nomination by the high school (one student per school), a U of T admission application, then the scholarship application itself.
