An intensive ten-week internship at Los Alamos National Laboratory, running June 1 to August 7, 2026, giving students a foundation in modern high-performance computing integrated with research on real problems encountered in large-scale scientific codes. Training covers parallel programming, programming models, algorithms, hardware architecture, collaborative software development and visualisation workflows. Participants work in pairs on one of four research projects mentored by Los Alamos scientists using cutting-edge HPC hardware. Run by the Laboratory's Computational Physics division; application and stipend guidelines and the current application window are published on the programme page each cycle.
