A ten-week summer school running June 1 to August 7, 2026 covering the multi-disciplinary field of dynamics across mechanical, structural and electrical systems, with students tackling research projects mentored by Laboratory scientists and engineers. Open to US citizens (dual citizenship accepted) who are current juniors or seniors or first-year graduate students in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, nuclear or civil engineering, computer science, or mathematics and statistics. Fellowships run from $12,000 to $18,000 based on academic status and travel origin, plus round-trip travel. Applications run in two rounds, an early round in mid-November and a general round in early January. Alumni include 81 NSF or NDSEG fellowship recipients and 58 who returned as Laboratory staff.
