About This Program

A ten-week workshop at Los Alamos National Laboratory running June 1 to August 7, 2026, in which participants work in teams of two on mentored computational physics research projects guided by staff scientists, combined with lectures and professional development. Open to graduate students and advanced undergraduates with at least one year of college or university, based in the United States. Fellowship payments typically range from $9,000 to $17,000 based on academic rank and are paid in three instalments; participants cover their own travel, food and housing. Applicants submit a cover letter and resume and select three preferred research projects online when the cycle opens.
