A four-week immersive summer school running June 29 to July 24, 2026 at McCurdy Charter School in Espanola, New Mexico, centred on optical sciences, their applications and career paths. Students run real experiments in optics and quantum science in small teams and take part in tutorials, seminars, career development sessions and laboratory tours, finishing with a capstone project. Open to New Mexico high school and college students who are US citizens, at least 16 years old, in good academic standing and have completed Algebra 1 and Geometry. Sessions run 9:30am to 4:30pm daily and participants receive $500 per week on completing the full programme.
