About This Program

A one-year paid fellowship administered by NOAA's National Sea Grant College Program that matches highly qualified graduate students with hosts in the legislative and executive branches of the federal government in the Washington, DC area. Fellows work on national policy decisions affecting ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources. Open to master's, PhD, and JD students enrolled in a graduate program with an interest in marine and coastal policy; applications are submitted through state Sea Grant programs.
