Applicants indicate scholarship interest on the admission application rather than applying separately. Two named routes sit under this page: the Combined Master-PhD Research Teaching Scholarship (CMDRTS) for UAE nationals, which waives master's tuition and converts to a standard PhD scholarship on advancement and requires a 3.0 bachelor's CGPA and 3.25 in the master's phase, and the China Scholarship Council-Khalifa University joint PhD scholarship for Chinese nationals admitted to a PhD in Engineering or Science, which pays a monthly stipend of AED 9,200 alongside tuition, flights, accommodation, textbooks, visa fees, medical insurance and conference support, closing 10 February for Fall entry.
