King Abdullah University of Science and Technology
Every student admitted to a degree program at KAUST, the graduate research university on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, is granted the KAUST Fellowship. It covers full tuition and bench fees worth up to USD 35,000 a year, a monthly stipend worth USD 20,000 a year for M.S. students and USD 25,000 to 30,000 a year for Ph.D. students depending on qualifications and academic progress, base campus accommodation (shared for single students, two-bed for married students), health insurance for students and eligible dependents living on campus, and relocation support covering visa, relocation and travel costs. KAUST calculates the total package at USD 70,000 to 80,000 a year. Students with external sponsorship or a full scholarship that already pays a monthly stipend may not be eligible. This is the degree-student fellowship, distinct from the separate KAUST Global Fellowship for postdoctoral researchers.
