A Kansas Board of Regents last-dollar scholarship covering tuition, required fees, books and materials remaining after other aid, capped at 68 credit hours or $20,000 per student for life. Four fields of study qualify statewide: information technology and security, mental and physical healthcare, advanced manufacturing and building trades, and early childhood education and development; institutions may designate additional local-need fields in agriculture, food and natural resources, education, law and public safety, or distribution and logistics. Applicants must be US citizens and Kansas residents, qualifying through recent high school or GED completion, three consecutive years of residency, or military-connected and former foster youth pathways. Recipients sign a binding agreement to live and work in Kansas for two consecutive years after graduation or repay the award with interest within six months. Awards are first-come, first-served.
