It is last-dollar funding reaching up to $55,000 a year for two to three years, covering tuition, living expenses, books and required fees, with the exact amount depending on other institutional aid. Scholars also receive ongoing advising, access to the Cooke Scholar community, and the ability to apply for internship stipends, conference travel support and the Foundation's graduate scholarships. Recent cohorts have averaged a 3.94 community college GPA, with 73 per cent in honours programmes or coursework and 82 per cent holding leadership roles. It is distinct from the Foundation's College Scholarship Program for high school seniors.
