About This Program

A paid immersive summer internship at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland, for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns work on real technical projects alongside APL staff in areas such as software development, hardware and electronic instrument prototyping, signal processing and data analysis, algorithm development, embedded systems testing and integration, and modelling and simulation. A minimum 3.0 GPA and full-time enrolment for the semester following the internship are required. Opportunities are posted each fall on a rolling basis and remain open until filled. A separate ASPIRE programme serves high school students.
