A scholarship funded by Jenoptik and administered by SPIE for students on technician-track photonics and optics programmes, typically at community and technical colleges. It recognises that much of the optics industry's hiring need is at technician level rather than in four-year degree pathways, and supports students building hands-on skills in optical fabrication, assembly, alignment, and testing.
