Iowa State University
An eight-week summer mathematics REU at Iowa State University in Ames, running June 14 to August 9, 2026, with research from June 15 to August 3 followed by MathFest. Participants receive a $5,000 stipend ($625 per week), campus dorm housing with some meals, and domestic travel support to Ames and to MathFest 2026 in Boston. Open to undergraduates who will still be enrolled in a bachelor's or associate's degree program in Fall 2026, who are 18 by June 1, 2026, and who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applications are submitted through mathprograms.org and 2026 projects cover temporal logic and sparse representations of landscape functions.
