A Future Ready Iowa award that covers the remaining tuition and institution-wide mandatory fees after all other non-repayable state and federal aid has been applied, for Iowa residents enrolling in a postsecondary certificate, diploma or associate degree that leads to a job designated high-demand by the Iowa Workforce Development Board. Eligible fields concentrate in healthcare, technology and the skilled trades; the directory of eligible programmes is maintained by Iowa Workforce Development and can change from year to year. Applicants must be recent high school graduates or equivalency diploma holders, or students aged 20 and over, must enrol at least part-time, must file the FAFSA annually, and must apply for all other state and federal grants first. A Student Aid Index at or below the published threshold is required. Recipients may hold the award for up to eight part-time semesters or the full-time equivalent.
