A ten-week paid summer co-op at the Illinois Quantum Information Science and Technology Center that pairs undergraduates with faculty from the Hybrid Quantum Architectures and Networks (HQAN) institute and with IBM researchers, so students see both an academic group and an industrial quantum team in one summer. Applications run through the Illinois Physics REU portal. IQUIST also administers the $5,000 Lonnie Edelheit Award in Quantum, which defrays the cost of a private-sector summer internship for graduate students supervised by an IQUIST member who are US citizens or permanent residents.
