An annual award from the IEEE Systems Council recognising undergraduates working toward a first professional degree in any engineering discipline at an accredited university. Up to two prizes of $5,000 and a certificate are given each cycle. Candidates must be IEEE student members with a minimum 2.8 GPA or equivalent; immediate family of the IEEE Board of Directors, the Systems Council Governing Board, the scholarship committee or IEEE staff are excluded. The nomination form opens on 1 May each year and closes at 11:59 PM UTC on 1 January.
