About This Program

IBM's full-time apprenticeship route for people who have relevant skills but no degree, built as part of the company's New Collar hiring approach. Apprentices are employed while they train, earning credentials and building job-ready skills in technical disciplines rather than paying tuition for them. The company states plainly that a degree is not required to enter, which makes it one of the clearer large-employer alternatives to a four-year computer science pathway for career changers and self-taught candidates. Apprentices work alongside IBM teams on real assignments, and the programme sits alongside IBM's other entry points such as Accelerate and the Tech Re-Entry Program for people returning to the workforce. Roles and locations are posted and filled through the IBM careers site as they open rather than on a single annual deadline.
