A paid internship run by IACMI - The Composites Institute, one of the Manufacturing USA institutes, placing undergraduate and graduate students with member companies working in composites, materials science and advanced manufacturing. Interns earn up to $23 per hour as undergraduates and up to $28 per hour as graduate students, plus a housing allowance of up to $300 per week and travel assistance of up to $1,600. Applicants must attend a regionally accredited US college or university, hold at least a 3.2 GPA, be 18 or older and be authorised to work in the United States. Placements run full-time at 40 hours a week or part-time at 15 hours, across fall, spring and 10-week summer terms, with some remote options; the institute is headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee and places interns with 180-plus member organisations nationwide. More than 100 students have gone through the programme since 2016.
