The Hispanic Scholarship Fund awards need-based scholarships of 500 to 5,000 dollars to roughly 10,000 students a year, distributing over 30 million dollars annually, and runs a STEM Summit among its scholar conferences. Applicants must be of Hispanic heritage, open to all races, and be US citizens, permanent legal residents or DACA recipients; the GPA floor is 3.0 for high school applicants and 2.5 for college and graduate students, and applicants must plan full-time enrolment at an accredited four-year university or graduate school and complete the FAFSA. Selection is merit-based with awards sized to relative need. The cycle runs from early January to a mid-February deadline, with selection in June and disbursement the following autumn.
