Grants awarded by the Geological Society of America's topical divisions for outstanding student research in each division's field, spanning geoarchaeology, energy geology, environmental and engineering geology, geobiology, planetary geology, quaternary geology, sedimentary geology, and structural geology and tectonics. Awards include research scholarships, travel grants and fieldwork support; most target graduate students, with some open to undergraduates.
