Collaborative Multidisciplinary Investigations Through Undergraduate Research Experiences, an NSF REU site run by Georgia Southern University's Department of Chemistry. Summer projects cross chemistry, biochemistry and physics, covering biocomposites, drug design and delivery, chemosensors, nanomaterials, magnetic materials and molecular switches, with professional development in scientific communication, leadership and ethics. Scholars present at national meetings including NOBCChE, ABRCMS, the CUR REU Symposium and ACS regional meetings.
