A foundation established by Haas Automation founder Gene Haas to introduce and educate individuals for careers in manufacturing technologies, with a particular focus on CNC machining. Scholarship grants are awarded to schools, which then disburse them to students receiving CNC training, so applications are made by the institution rather than by individual students. The foundation also sponsors student robotics and racing teams that design and manufacture their competition entries, funds grant-supported summer teacher training programmes at seven selected schools, runs Haas Technical Educators Conferences for educators, and makes endorsement grant awards to Gene Haas Centers and Labs at schools expanding their manufacturing programmes. The foundation reports donating millions annually to educational programmes.
