About This Program

Ford ASSET is a two-year cooperative programme run jointly by Ford Motor Company, Ford and Lincoln dealerships and about 40 partner community colleges and technical schools, producing entry-level dealership service technicians. Students alternate six to eight weeks of classroom and lab instruction with six to eight weeks of paid work at their sponsoring dealership, so the co-op phases add up to as much as a full year of on-site experience inside the two-year span. Graduates earn an associate degree and up to 100 percent of Ford Service Technician Specialty Training across engine repair, suspension, electrical systems, transmissions, climate control and brakes. Instructors are certified by Ford to teach the full technical training catalogue. A dealership sponsor is required for entry, not optional.
