A four-week residential summer program run by EDGE, a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit working on gender and racial equity in mathematics, that prepares students for success in mathematics PhD programs and beyond. EDGE reports that 90% of summer program alumni have either received a graduate degree or are still in graduate school, and that alumni have earned 153 PhDs since the program was founded in 1998. EDGE also runs the Karen EDGE Fellowship for mid-career mathematicians, the Mary Beth Ruskai Research Fund, an annual Summer Symposium and research sessions at the Joint Mathematics Meetings.
