The Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) program supports PhD dissertation research at DOE national laboratories by providing supplemental awards for graduate students to work on thesis projects at a host laboratory for 3–12 months. Awardees retain their university stipend and receive a supplement of up to $3,000 per month. The program spans all Office of Science priority areas.
