University-based teams of engineering students and faculty conduct no-cost energy, productivity and waste assessments at small and mid-sized U.S. manufacturers under a U.S. Department of Energy program. Students take part in on-site evaluations and write recommendation reports; participation is arranged through individual IAC host universities.
