A UK government scholarship programme of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, jointly funded with participating UK universities, for Master's study in the UK. It is explicitly for taught Master's courses only, not undergraduate or PhD study, and targets candidates from least developed and middle-income Commonwealth countries who could not otherwise afford UK study. Eligible applicants are citizens or refugees of the listed Commonwealth countries who hold at least an upper second-class honours degree and have not studied more than one year in a high-income country. Awards cover full tuition, approved return airfare, a monthly stipend, and additional allowances for thesis preparation, warm clothing and study travel. Development-oriented subject priorities mean science, engineering and health fields feature heavily.
