A summer pathway program run jointly by Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health and its medical and nursing schools to build interest in public health and biomedical science careers. Scholars take public health coursework at Columbia, complete field-based learning placements, attend seminars with public health leaders and work with faculty mentors. Aimed at undergraduates entering their junior or senior year and recent graduates still deciding on a career direction. Awarded by the CDC Office of Minority Health under the CDC John R. Lewis Undergraduate Public Health Scholars Program.
