Texas A&M University (NSF Center for the Mechanical Control of Chemistry)
The undergraduate research programme of the NSF Center for the Mechanical Control of Chemistry (CMCC), part of the NSF Centers for Chemical Innovation programme. Students join a research group at one of the centre's affiliated locations to work on mechanochemistry, where mechanical force drives reactions at lower temperatures and without solvents, and take part in professional development and science communication work with the Science History Institute in Philadelphia. The Summer 2027 application window runs 1 December 2026 to 29 January 2027, with the programme itself from 1 June to 6 August 2027.
