Ohio's flagship state STEM scholarship, administered by the Ohio Department of Higher Education and delivered through participating public and private colleges and universities across the state. Applicants must be Ohio residents pursuing a certificate, associate, bachelor's or graduate degree in an eligible STEM discipline, must be new to that program of study at the institution, and must meet the institution's own eligibility criteria. Because the state awards funding to institutions rather than directly to students, every scholarship decision, application requirement and deadline is set by the individual participating college or university, so students apply through their campus rather than through the state. The program spans the full credential ladder from technical certificates to graduate degrees, which makes it one of the few state STEM awards usable by community college and graduate students alike.
