A non-profit consortium of more than 140 energy companies, associations, unions, educational institutions and government entities that maps the training and credential routes into utility and energy technical careers - lineworker, plant operator, technician, engineering and skilled trades. Its Get Into Energy platform connects prospective workers with employers and training programmes, Troops to Energy Jobs targets veterans moving into the sector, and Hire PowHER supports women entering energy careers, particularly the skilled trades. CEWD also maintains the Energy and Natural Resources Career Cluster for curriculum integration in schools and colleges, runs the EnergyConnector platform for employer-educator collaboration, and operates an Energy Scholarship Fund. The organisation is in its twentieth year and holds a Workforce Development Summit each November.
