About This Program

The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing at the University of Waterloo runs Canada's largest suite of school mathematics and computing contests: the Gauss contests for grades 7 to 8; Pascal, Cayley and Fermat for grades 9 to 11; the Canadian Senior and Intermediate Mathematics Contests; the full-solution Fryer, Galois and Hypatia contests; the Euclid Contest for grade 12; the Canadian Team Mathematics Contest; the Team Up Challenge for grades 6 to 8; and, on the computing side, the Beaver Computing Challenge for grades 5 to 10 and the Canadian Computing Competition for grades 9 to 12. Schools place contest orders with CEMC from September for the coming contest year.
