The UK's flagship biology competition for students in the final years of secondary school, developed and run by UK Biology Competitions, a Special Interest Group of the Royal Society of Biology. Schools register students for the online examination, and top performers progress towards selection for the UK team at the International Biology Olympiad. UKBC also runs the Biology Challenge and the Intermediate Biology Olympiad for younger year groups.
