An award of the Biomedical Engineering Society for graduate students who have not yet been awarded a PhD at the time of submission. Applicants submit a title, author names, affiliations and an abstract of no more than 500 words, with figures encouraged. Recipients receive a certificate and a lightning talk at the Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering Awards Symposia held at the CMBE Conference. Selection is based on abstract quality across significance, innovation, technical rigour and clarity. Winners are announced in early November.
