About This Program

An eleven-week funded summer research programme run by the Biophysical Society and hosted at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, designed to introduce students who have had limited access to research to the field of biophysics. Participants work on a research project with a faculty mentor and are supported through the society's wider student network, which also runs the Student Research Achievement Awards presented at the Biophysical Society Annual Meeting. Biophysics sits between physics, chemistry and biology, and the programme is one of the few structured undergraduate entry points into it.
