About This Program

A portfolio of more than 130 donor-funded scholarships from the American Welding Society Foundation, totalling over $700,000 a year with individual awards ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 and above, for students pursuing a bachelor's or associate degree in welding or a related discipline. Named awards include the Air Products Women of Gases & Welding Scholarship, the Airgas - Jerry Baker Scholarship, the ESAB Scholarship, the Lincoln Electric Advanced Manufacturing & Fabrication Technologies Scholarship and the Miller Electric Scholarship. Applications require two letters of recommendation and official transcripts sent directly from the school; some awards require demonstrated financial need with FAFSA documentation, and others prefer or require AWS membership.
